Space, Home and Leaving

Living in Guernsey, one must get used to small space dwelling. I've lived here for nearly five years now, and I’ve had some rather creative living situations. You use space as much You can! I’m not interior designer, but here are seven tips for decorating your own small space and some of my favorite items.
1) Use light colors on the walls and floor. Its gonna make your room feel bigger and brighter. But try to stick with same color pallet, in a small space, a lot of color will be overpowering and its gonna make the room look even smaller. Curtains that blend with the walls create an unbroken line, making a room feel much larger.
2)Place a mirror opposite a window and it will bounce light around the room, making the space feel airier. The bigger the mirror, the better . And a reflecting light will brightening up a space.
3)Overlooked area can be a great spot to squeeze in an extra accent bean bag or a corner bookshelf, making your room more livable. Tuck a cozy chair in a corner to create an instant reading nest.
4) A multi use things, pallet you can use so many different ways, bed, bench, table or many other ways..We use it as table and Ugas shoes storage. Its easy to make and it large enough for our computer and paperwork.

5) If you renting a place sometimes could be difficult, and you cant hang your pictures to wall without making a hols to the wall. Easy way to do it, is to use a cotton string and  hang them with laundry hooks.
6) Try to reuse things, but for different meaning, such as skate board can be nice computer stool, what gonna give your interior different vibe.
7)Less is more.

We are in next apartment hunt, in less than 4 months time. But we will reuse some of our old ideas in new apartment. I hope there will be more space for us as a individuals and couple.
Soon will be blog about our tips to pack and move a country.
